Breakfast With the Animals...
On Saturday, we visited the Fresno Chaffee Zoo with the Poole family.
The zoo was hosting a speical event ... breakfast at the zoo.
We were all so excited not knowing what to expect. The kids were so excited to share this experience with Hayden and Carter Poole. And Rich and I were looking forward to adult company with Carrie and Eric.
We went to the stingray exhibit and before going in both Jeremy and Hayden made it very clear to us they were not touching the stingray or sharks. Guess what .. we had to drag them out of that area. They could have done that all day!!!
The next exhibit we visited was a showing of different skeletons. They had an owl dropping (pellet). The gentleman manning the table asked the boys what they called an owl poop and to see their faces in reaction as to who was going to answer was hilarious!!!
One more stop on our zoo adventure was to get a free megaphone. Who's idea was that??? I think within the next 5 minutes they were all taken away!!!

We Are Back ...
What a great weekend (mini vacation) we had.
We spent time bonding with friends and family, from Corona to Long Beach to Hollywood.
Hannah's cheer competition was great. Her team placed 4th. She loved every minute of it (well maybe not having to get up at 5:30 am on Sunday). Thank you to all our family that came and helped cheer her on.
After our cheer competition we were off to LA.
Our first stop ... American Girl. Hannah was in heaven. She lead us around the store as if she were a princess. She was on her own little shopping spree and at that moment, we allowed it. We all seemed to get so consumed with the cuteness of each little outfit down to the tiny shoes.
Next stop ... La Brea Tar Pits. This was our treat for our little scientist, Jeremy. The tar was so stinky!!! Amazing how the animals were so trapped with no return. And how they spend countless hours sifting through the rubble to find a minuscule bone chip.
At that point, we had to say goodbye to family and we were off to Hollywood baby.
Hollywood ... what do I say. The freaks come out at night!!! The kids were so amazed at all the "super heroes" lining the streets. A little shopping was done (for me of course)!
Universal City Walk was our destination for lunch. We chose the Hard Rock. What a way to fill up before climbing into the car for a 4 hour car ride!!!
A great way to kick off spring break!
